I just got done watching The Thomas Crowne Affair. What a wonderful movie.
Anyway, it really reminded me that I want to move to the Caribbean. I also spoke with some gentlemen at work who were buying equipment for a large boat (when you have money, apparently one thing you can do is live on a boat and circle the world). I spoke to them for a little bit about the Virgin Islands.
Man, I want to move down there. Maybe I could do that in August.
The money-saving has definitely begun. Whatever I do next will require money, and I am making sure I will have some.
The big question now is computers. Right now I have the large PowerMac G4/933 fully set up, as well as a 12" PowerBook. I am thinking seriously about doing some upgrades to the PowerMac (another hard drive, a television tuner, and a faster video card, along with maybe another 17" LCD). If I go to the islands, though, I would probably be better served by selling both machines and upgrading to one of the new 15" PowerBooks.
I am not sure what the best plan would be if I decide instead to do the Appalachian Trail.
Hmm...
I also need to start on my taxes tomorrow, to figure out how much I am going to get back from that.
Oh, and I am definitely thinking about buying one of the new 30 GB iPod photos. Yummy, and a wonderful size (about the same physical size as my old 2nd. generation 10GB iPod)
