Movie Exam
Oct. 24th, 2005 02:28 pmAs promised to dear
digopheliadug before, the class will now have a short answer exam.
The subject this week is cinema.
This is an open book exam, and group work will be accepted. Please credit everyone who worked on the assignment. Time-extensions will be given on a case-by-case basis. Please use complete sentences for your answers. Please elaborate on your answer to each question.
1) Name a movie, based on a book or short story, where the movie-watching experience is better than the book-reading experience.
2) Name a movie, based on a television show, where the movie-watching experience is better than the television-watching experience.
3) Name a movie sequel where the sequel was better than the original. Note: For this question, the obvious answer of "Terminator 2" will not be accepted.
4) Name a remake of an older movie where the newer remake was better than the original.
Remember: With only four questions, missing just one question takes you down to a C.
No one passed the last exam, but I have high hopes for this one.
Bonus Question: Name a movie based on a Saturday Night Live skit where the movie was better than the skit. Note: For this question, the obvious answer of "The Blues Brothers" will not be accepted.
Note: The first round of grading will be before 11:59pm EST on Monday, 24 October 2005.
