Broken Face...

Yeah, so I broke my face.
On Friday I was subbing for the elementary school PE teacher. About noon I was racing a couple of third grade girls on their warm up lap. There is no way to put this where I do not sound like an idiot, but I ran, full speed, into a horizontal pole right at eye level.
The next few hours are all a bit spotty (I remember about two minutes out of the next six hours or so), but I ended up spending the night in the hospital. I was sent home on Saturday with a diagnosis of two fractures around my eye socket.
In addition, I had one hell of a black eye.
I am now on at least two weeks strict bedrest. Due to swelling I have not been able to wear my glasses for the past four days and, as a result, I am pretty well blind. This means no television, no reading, no computer. It has been frustrating, to say the least.
Anyway, if I have been out of touch this past week, that is why. Feel free to contact me on my cell phone if you need to get ahold of me.

Ouch.

Of course, you'd almost need to do that to read these comments!
{once again LJ's OpenID is broken :-( }
